Hidden beneath the dramatic peaks of the Chaukhi Massif, these three alpine lakes (Green, Blue, and White) offer a remarkable combination of crystal-clear waters, breathtaking mountain scenery, and peaceful wilderness.

Our journey begins with a scenic drive towards the remote mountain village of Roshka, surrounded by the magnificent landscapes of Khevsureti. Here, we’ll prepare for our hiking adventure and enjoy the fresh mountain air before setting off along the trail.
Our first destination is the beautiful Green Lake, nestled among lush mountain meadows. Its emerald-colored waters and tranquil surroundings create a perfect setting for photographs and a short rest.
We’ll continue towards the spectacular Blue Lake, famous for its striking turquoise-blue waters. Surrounded by dramatic mountain peaks, this is one of the most photogenic locations in the region.
For those ready to explore further, the hike continues to White Lake, situated at a higher elevation beneath the impressive Chaukhi Massif. Its pale, milky waters and rugged alpine surroundings offer a truly unforgettable mountain experience.
After enjoying the extraordinary landscapes, we’ll hike back to Roshka, where our vehicle will be waiting for the return journey to Tbilisi.

Duration: Full day, approximately 12–14 hours
Hiking time: Approximately 5–7 hours
Best season: June–September

The hiking distance depends on the selected trail. A shorter loop visiting all three lakes is approximately 10 km, while the traditional route can be longer. The White Lake section is more demanding and depends on weather and trail conditions.

Important notes

Comfortable hiking shoes, warm clothing, rain protection, drinking water, and reasonable physical fitness are essential. The itinerary may be adjusted for safety.
